Lead Midwife for Midwifery Led Care
Throughout my career I have always been passionate in supporting normal birth and providing holistic, individualised care to women and their families. I believe that continuity of care and a trusting relationship with your midwife can enhance your experience of pregnancy and birth. I am skilled in waterbirth and complementary therapies, and love nothing more than creating a calm, relaxed environment to support you through your birth experience. I have been a member of The Kensington Wing for eight years. I love leading the Midwifery Led Team and we strive to deliver the best birthing experience possible.
Over the last decade my expertise has been predominantly focused on intrapartum care. I am a midwife experienced with birth in low risk settings such as Birth Centres. I particularly enjoy facilitating water birth. I have also previously worked at Senior level on a high risk Labour Ward. I have a wealth of knowledge and experience to be able to provide the highest quality of care to you and your family.
Within my midwifery career I have always strived to give an excellent standard of care to ensure women feel truly supported throughout there pregnancy experience. I believe listening to women and managing their expectations/fears throughout is of paramount importance. This really gives a good foundation to ensure all needs are met and the birth experience is a positive one. I enjoy and recommend a relaxed, calm and trusting environment throughout the process and believe complimentary therapies, hypnobirthing and the use of water in labour are just some of the many ways that can enhance and support a natural and positive birth experience. I enjoy working within a friendly and compassionate team which is always striving to deliver an excellent standard of care.
I am committed to empowering women to birth their babies in a safe, secure and calm environment. I am passionate about promoting and enabling normal physiology to take place and have particular skills in massage and waterbirth.
I take part in the provision of parent education, and as part of the postnatal community package I'm able to provide individualised care for you and your baby at home.
